Swan and Tortoise Story in English: The swan and the tortoise story is also one of the very old fables. Once upon a time there used to be a pond in a forest. Two swans and a turtle used to live near that pond. All three were very good friends. They used to be all that for a long time. Once there was a severe drought on the earth. Because of this, that pond also started drying up. In no time, that pond also dried up. This made both the swan and the turtle very upset. But soon the swans found a new pond.
The new pond was much bigger. It was twice as big as the old pond. Then what was left Both the swans thought of going there. But the tortoise was very sad on this. He also had to go there. But how could he go near the new pond. Because it used to take a long time for him to go there. The tortoise and both the swans thought a lot. Only then the tortoise came up with a solution.
He said, friends, both of you hold a strong stick in your beak, and I will hold the middle of that stick. Then you fly towards the new pond. In this way I will reach the new pond. The turtle had never seen so many people together before. He could not stop himself. He said, all of them are looking at us. Just had to say that the stick left his mouth and he fell on the ground with speed. He lost his life as soon as he fell.
